SERVO FOR LOVE (3 mt from 0.13 to 17)
Today, with the feast of the Baptism of Jesus, we conclude by the liturgical season of Christmas. After celebrating the birth of Jesus and acknowledging Him as the Son of God, today we discover that we too can live as children of God Jesus, giving solidarity with sinners who need salvation, makes possible a new relationship with God, marked by the gift of the Spirit and the neighborhood. Coming to be baptized by John, Jesus is acting in person and makes a clear choice: it dissociates in the name of his innocence, from a sinful people and a crowd of penitents, but wants to stick to their desire to renewal by putting everyone else in the group of people going to be baptized. Nor is the strength of John: "I am that I need to be baptized by you, and come to me?" Can avoid this choice: "Leave it for now, because that should fulfill all righteousness." Jesus, when it comes to doing the will of the Father, is adamant, uncompromising and resolute! The righteousness of Jesus, therefore, means full obedience and total commitment in doing the will of God, through solidarity with a people oppressed by guilt and need of forgiveness. Jesus did not assume a privileged position in comparison to the misery of man, but rather as obedient servant of the Lord, it will charge our infirmities and illnesses, until the full completion of solidarity which is death on the cross. The Servant, of whom the prophet Isaiah, Jesus is no doubt that the Father receives a calling to fulfill a mission of healing and atonement of the sin of all humanity. But the most interesting thing is certainly the way in which he completes the mission without violence, without coercion, but through weak means of proven efficiency, "Do not cry or lift up the tone, will not make his voice heard in the street, not break a bruised reed, nor quench a flame from a wick pale. " This is the power of love, the love that can pierce the skies to allow men to meet again with God: "And behold, the heavens were opened for him and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming on of him. " What pops up on Jesus is no longer the dark sky of the flood that destroyed everything but the sky is the dove that brings the spirit and allows people to start a new life of God's children
