Beloved, I exhort the elders among you, who like their elder, a witness of the sufferings of Christ and sharing in the glory that is to be revealed: Tend the flock of God entrusted to you, overseeing not under compulsion but willingly, as God wills, not for shameful interest, but with generosity of spirit, not as masters of the people in your charge but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. (1Pt5 0.1 to 4)
